I think the Wennie Poker Run was a complete success. The volunteers did a great job. I saw dozens of members from other Chapters there. Good job South Bay HOG.

Sorry you missed the poker run. The popular vote give it a thumbs up and after reviewing the images that Gordon set up, looks like everyone had a great time. Personally, I missed it as I was traveling up state.

fyi...Tue and Wen I sent out a chapter blast about the event but I see Dave, that you have not renewed your South Bay HOG Membership so you would not have received either one of those two South Bay HOG Blasts.

Thursday the 2nd I sent an email blast out to the entire CHD/B list to announce not only the Weenie Poker Run but several other events and happenings of which you are on that list and received however did not open until after the event which is about the time you posted this message.

I apologize to those who may have missed the Weenie Poker Run because there is not a date on the above post even though the post does say that I posted it 5 days ago which after the math, would suggest that the event was last Sunday.

Lets be fare to everyone who worked their butts off to get the word out and helped make this event the best that it could be.

Congrats South Bay HOG for a job well done!

Those who may have missed it but because they were uninformed or misled about the date, I'm sorry...but Dave, your busted...you just need to check your email more often, re-up your membership (http://www.southbayhog.com/ChapterForms/Enrollmentform.pdf) to get the SBHOG Blasts and show up to the meetings...volunteer, it's appreciated having a seasoned riders impute.

Thank you South Bay HOG for posting the pictures of the Weenie Poker Run for all to see. It really looks like "a good time was had by all" kind of event. Who won the Hot Dog eating contest anyway and how many weenies did the winner eat? I think that the pictures really came out well and I am surprised at how clear they are from a moving motorcycle. Kudos to the photographer! Good job, I say! (How does she or he do it?) I am looking forward to attending any of the up coming meetings after May, to say Hi and get to know the other members. Until then, you-all take care and ride safe. :wisdom:

Robert, gonna have to agree with Dave about the lack of notification, member or not (that was a pretty cheap shot btw, you've opened up this forum to all, not just active South Bay Hog members, nor was this ride a members only ride) an e-mail blast 3-4 days before the event is next to useless if you do not already know about the event. An e-mail should have been sent weeks in advance to the entire CHD list in order to help drive participation.

If the wife and I didn't actively look for this run, we would have missed it entirely, or made other plans before your e-mail was ever received.

Aside from that, it was a very enjoyable ride as it always is, thanks to all those who volunteered and made it what is was thumb up

Thanks for the kudos XLCR4GM !!! I've had a lot of practice over the last 2 1/2 years! I try and take pictures on the straight aways so it will be a little safer.

The winner (See image 68) ate 12 hotdogs but he had all day to eat them! Chris ate 11 at the last stop.

My only issue was Robert jumping all over Dave7474, and bringing his SBH membership status into the equation when that really wasn't any of his business and had no bearing on the conversation. The fact is that an e-mail was only sent to members and and the Cal Harley mailing list 4 days or less prior to the run.

Well, I read your last couple of posts, and believe your talking to me. Yet I have no recolection of having any harsh words with you ever, or leaving you in the dust on a chapter ride. Now I know there are alot of people who want to jump in my group when I'm riding a Poker Ride, and I do like to ride fast, but I have no obligations to anyone when I am not acting as a Road Captain.
